A Junior Bartndr is a team member currently undergoing advanced mixology training and standard bar training. They can only be booked in conjunction with a Senior or Pro Level Bartndr and are ideal for larger events where additional support is needed behind the bar.
Their role includes:
Assisting with cocktail preparation under supervision
Collecting and managing glassware
Performing basic bartending tasks
Please note: Junior Bartndrs are not available for standalone hire and must be paired with a senior team member to ensure service quality and consistency.
Juniors can only be hired for events exceeding 50 guests and there must be one senior bartndr present for each Junior bartndr present.

A Senior Bartndr is a highly trained professional skilled in both cocktail creation and efficient bar management. They are ideal for independently servicing events of up to 40 guests, ensuring smooth, high-quality service from start to finish.

- Delivering a polished, all-round bartending experience
If your event requires floor service or additional bar support, we recommend booking an additional Senior or Pro Level Bartndr to maintain seamless service.

Staff ratios
Determine Your Number of Staff Needed Relative to Your Guest Count
For general parties with cocktail service and bartending service, we advise that you follow the guide when hiring staff:
up to 40 guests - 1 x Staff Person
40-70 guests - 2-3 x Staff Persons - depending on your requirements
70-90 guests - 3 x Staff Persons
90-110 guests- 4 x Staff Persons
If you're envisioning a guest arrival experience with staff greeting guests at the door, tray in hand, or hosting a wedding reception with service to seated tables, please ensure you have engaged adequate staff for this level of service.
Floor service requires additional personnel and careful planning. Custom quotes are provided for this.
A GENTLE REMINDER: We do not accept bookings for weddings or large-scale events where only one mixologist is requested for 100+ guests. Please don't phone and say you only need one bartndr for 100 people when we know this is not appropriate. This places undue pressure on our staff, and we are committed to maintaining a positive work environment that reflects our high service standards. For appropriate staffing ratios, please contact us for guidance and a custom quote.
Prep Time
Add in Prep Time to Get Ready for Service
When you book a Bartndr prep time must be added to your booking. No Bartndr will walk in and start serving without first assessing the space, setting up the bar to their workflow, preparing garnishes, organising glassware, and ensuring the service area is safe and functional. A well‑run bar doesn’t happen by accident — it requires preparation, and this time is not included for free.
Prep time is charged and required as follows:
Up to 40 guests: minimum 30 minutes
40–70 guests: minimum 45 minutes
70+ guests: 1 hour or more, depending on service style and bar complexity
If you’re unsure how much prep time your event needs, contact us and we’ll advise you based on your layout, guest count, and service expectations.
Prep Time refers to the dedicated period your mixologist spends getting the bar ready prior to service. During this time, they will:
- Lay out all required glassware ready for use.
- Cut and prepare garnishes for use to make the cocktails.
- Arrange standard bar equipment and liquor for ease of flow on top bar.
- Batch cocktails or ingredients as needed (if required but not preferred)
- Set up the blender station (if required)
- Prepare drinks or cocktails on trays, ready for service upon guest arrival.
What's not included in Prep Time.
All of the following are your responsibility on the day unless you have ordered a Full Bar Setup Service at an additional cost.
- Bar construction or physical setup: This is your responsibility and can be done using the Bar Setup Checklist provided at booking. If you've hired one of our mobile bars, it's delivered and set up by our logistics team on the delivery day.
• Bar Construction or physical setup
• Unpacking all stock you have purchased (liquor and mixes) and placing into tubs. All stock needs to be at the bar area on the day and unpacked and chilled ready for staff.
• Laying out bar for ease of flow including rubbish sector, and back of house area (for washing all glassware during event).
• Movement of glassware (that has been pre-delivered) or bars or stock to the bar location.
• Icing all stock you have purchased - To ensure optimal serving temperature, wines, beer and sparkling require at least 2.5-3 hours on ice prior to service. This also applies to large-scale alcohol load-ins, which can be time-consuming.

Cocktails
Build Your Menu and Go Shopping
Once booked you will be able to view our online cocktail menus for your event to choose which menu you would like for your event. If booking a senior bartndr you will be given access to three set menus each with six cocktails on them, and yes they contain all the favourites: margaritas, espresso, mojitos, pornstar martnis and more! You do also have the option to upgrade to the pick n mix menu, the themed menus or the top shelf menu for a small additional fee.
If you have booked a pro-level bartndr, you have unlocked total top shelf access to menus of 80 different cocktails and the ability to submit your own if yours is not on the list. This is ideal for weddings and engagements.
And if you upgrade to the pick and mix, you will have access to view 50 cocktails. You can choose as little as one or all 50! - but remember the more you choose the more ingredients are required and the more the cost. We advise at choosing around 4-8 cocktails for a great menu selection.
With all menus upon choosing your cocktails, you will be then sent a comprehensive shopping list of everything you need for your event…right down to how many bags of ice you require.
